- It’s Short Story Night at Books Beneath the Bridge! Come hear Robin Black, Tania James, Rajesh Parameswaran, Jim Shephard, and Charles Yu read on Monday the 30th, at 7 p.m., at the Granite Prospect in the Brooklyn Bridge Park. Giveaway for early birds!
- WORD will be at Housing Works Bookstore to help celebrate the launch of Danielle Henderson’s Feminist Ryan Gosling: The Book on Thursday the 2nd, at 7 p.m. Tumblr will also be there, with free drinks!
- Book group will be meeting to discuss Zombie at noon on Saturday the 4th; special guests, author JR Angelella and editor Mark Doten, will join us at 12:30.
- Artist and educator Michel Levesque will lead a collaborative comic-making (aka Comics Jam) on Sunday the 5th at 3 p.m.; all ages welcome.
And the following week, we’ve got our first Words by the Water night with Soho Crime, a joint reading with Katie Kitamura and Adam Rapp, Classics Book Group, and Music Writing Book Group.
