On Thursday September 20th, we’re hosting a fundraiser for First Book-Brooklyn. If you haven’t heard of them, they’re an amazing organization whose mission is to provide access to new books for children in need right here in our borough.
There are a limited number of tickets, and for your $10 ticket fee (a donation, by the way, that goes straight to First Book!) you get to eat brownies from Robicelli’s, drink beer lovingly provided by the Brooklyn Brewery, and listen to a YA fiction discussion with authors Gayle Forman, E. Lockhart, Matt de la Pena, and Michael Northrop. You also get a raffle ticket! Prizes include books and goodies from local businesses, and all the proceeds from the raffle go to First Book. There will be extra raffle tickets available as well, since you’ll probably want more than one shot at some of these.
