- Zadie Smith (NW) will be in conversation with Hari Kunzru (Gods Without Men), and it will be amazing. Seating is first-come, first-served, and will open up at 6:15 p.m. The event will start at 7 p.m. on Tuesday the 9th.
- Teachers and librarians are welcome to our Educator Night, at which we’ll be booktalking our favorites, giving out swag, and introducing everyone to author RJ Palacio (Wonder), Wednesday the 10th, 7 p.m.
- Classics Book Group will be starting their discussion of John Collier’s short storyFancies and Goodnights, Saturday the 13th at noon.
- Music Writing Book Group is discussing David Hajdu’s essay collection Heroes & Villains, Saturday the 13th at 3 p.m.
- Our new Politics Book Group wants YOU to come and help pick their reading list! Sunday the 14th at 11 a.m.
- Cory Doctorow will discuss cinema, copyright, and his new YA novel Pirate Cinema, Monday the 15th at 7 p.m. We’ve also got a video contest going, for all you creative types!
And later next week we’ve got the Saltie cookbook launch and a marathon reading with local author Chris Ruen.
