If you’re in the store, you can have a tea party with Cecil Castellucci and Sara Varon, Saturday 5/18 at 4 p.m.! Celebrate oddities and Odd Ducks and comics and friendship. (And snacks.)
If you’re in the neighborhood, you’ll find us at the Greenpoint YMCA getting ready for Summer Reading! Tomorrow, Saturday 5/18 from 12 - 4, you can browse a huge selection of summer favorites for kids of all ages. A portion of each sale goes back to the YMCA, plus there’ll be ice cream! What’s not to love?
If you’re at Prospect Park for the Great GoogaMooga, we’ll be camped out at the Literary Stage, a.k.a. Cafe GoogaMooga, with Housing Works, chilling with lots of great foodie authors and selling books. We’re the ones between the coffee and the Crif Dogs stand. (Did we plan that? MAYBE.) Saturday 5/18 and Sunday 5/19, 11ish to 7ish.

Raise your hands with Peter Cherches as he presents his book of minimalist fiction, Lift Your Right Arm, Tuesday the 14th at 7 p.m.
Our DFW Appreciation Society reconvenes for a group discussion of Both Flesh and Not in all its critical and pop-culture glory (it’s also 20% off this month!), Wednesday the 15th at 7 p.m.
At a reading sponsored by PEN American, members Jonathan Dee, Jennifer Gilmore, Ben Greenman, Leigh Newman, and Joan Silber all read from their newest works, Thursday the 16th at 7 p.m.
YA Not? book group will be discussing Feed by M.T. Anderson on Saturday the 18th at 1 p.m., and Brit Lit will talk Brighton Rock by Graham Greene at a special early time, 2 p.m.
Cecil Castellucci and Sara Varon will be throwing a tea party, reading, signing, and general funtimes in honor of Odd Duck, Saturday the 18th at 4 p.m. All ages welcome!

And the following week we’ll be discovering the best of NY’s food trucks, drawing with Dave Roman, discussing zombies with Bennett Sims and Halimah Marcus, and polishing the craft of writing with the Gotham Writers.
